Ferrari driver Felipe Massa believes the introduction of a standard engine would lead to F1 losing its identity in the future.
FIA president Max Mosley wants all teams to use a standard engine and gearbox from 2010 to help cut costs amidst the global financial crisis.
But Massa said: "A standard engine gets away from what F1 is all about. A Ferrari running with another engine – that’s not a Ferrari."
