For the second year in a row, the winner of the Formula One championship is decided in the final round of 2008.
This weekend’s Interlagos round will decide whether points leader Lewis Hamilton or second Felipe Massa, will win their first championship.
Britain’s Hamilton leads at 94 points, with Brazil’s Massa only seven points lagging at 87.
Massa will win the championship if he overcomes the seven point lead, that is, finishing first with Lewis seven points behind.
Spaniard Fernando Alonso, the 2005/06 champion, has made it clear that he wants Massa to achieve this year’s title.
"This year, all the drivers want Massa to be champion. So I think it is not my problem, it is Hamilton’s."
The controversy of last years Ferrari/McLaren scandal has clearly made Alonso more passionate for Hamilton to lose.
