Salesforce.com’s Lightning Experience (“LE”) represents a technological revolution in CRM technology. LE moves Salesforce.com into the mobile cloud with a bold, new user interface and more intuitive workflows. Since ‘revolution’ means a break with the past, i.e. a break with Salesforce Classic, Match My Email has invested the past 10 months, since Lightning’s announcement at Dreamforce, re-coding its fully automated Salesforce email integration app.
The hard work of mastering a new technology has paid off with the release of Match My Email Version 5.01 this week. A special thanks goes to the newest member of the development team, Lana, who taught herself Lightning from scratch since there were no Lightning courses available, and who made this product release possible.
Match My Email Releases Lightning Ready Edition
Match My Email Version 5.01 LE includes the popular features of Match My Email Classic such as fully automated email syncing, email REPLY and FORWARD from inside a Salesforce record, and custom matching algorithms based on (1) email address, (2) domain, (3) words in the Subject Line or (4) tags embedded in the email body. And, by the way, the Match My Email LE implementation in Lightning looks really, really cool with its black, floating, action ribbon.
Match My Email, which is based on the IMAP open standard, continues to work flawlessly across email platforms. The app supports, Outlook and Outlook for Mac connected to an Exchange server, Office365 or an IMAP email provider, Gmail and Google Apps used in Chrome or connect via a plug-in like Outlook or Thunderbird and MacMail or Mail connected to iCloud or any IMAP email service.
Match My Email is cloud technology. It connects the user’s email provider to Salesforce directly in the cloud. Working at the cloud level, Match My Email is always on and working in background, regardless of what the user is doing or what the device the user is using. Match My Email is a new way of thinking about email integration for Salesforce. It brings email context into Salesforce, not Salesforce context into an email client like Outlook or Gmail, and thereby increases Salesforce usage, efficiency and adoption.
By providing fully automated email auto-logging from Outlook, Gmail or Mac, Match My Email creates a ‘perfect’ record in Salesforce of all customer-facing correspondence. Match My Email’s custom matching algorithm by subject line word or body tag is particularly useful to law firms, estate agents, insurance brokersm medical offices and financial services providers.
The best way to see how Match My Email can transform the way your organization uses Salesforce with automated email integration and REPLY and FORWARD from inside Salesforce is to schedule a Live Demo of the app by using the scheduling tool at http://www.matchmyemail.com/schedule-your-live-demo/.

Thanks for the article, Trevor! You mentioned Match My Email "brings email context into Salesforce, not Salesforce context into an email client like Outlook or Gmail". I can absolutely see how this would be handy for a team that likes to work in Salesforce.
Personally though, I've found it can be challenging to get my employees up to speed with Salesforce, which is why I prefer to work with clients that integrate Salesforce into my email, rather than the other way around. I've heard good things about apps like YesWare or ToutApp, but I prefer using ContactMonkey as it has a few more features for email tracking, analytics, etc. while also being a lot cheaper to use (hurray for free trials!). Here's what I mean: http://www.contactmonkey.com/
