Mathematical Year celebrated for the first time in the valley with zeast and zeal

 Srinagar 7th october 2012; In The History of Jammu and Kashmir For the

first time ,Jammu and kashmir Innovator’s forum (JKIF )  celebrated

National Mathematical Year at huddle level, in which students from

different schools, Colleges and volunteer’s of JKIF participated

actively.

On the occasion, Er.M.M.Idrees ul haq beigh (State innovator & C.E.O

JKIF) who was the chief guest,  declared open the celebration of the

National Mathematical Year in kashmir division,and lauded the Role of

mathematics in the society, and insist on the Participants to take

part in such events, He also urged the Science and technology

department (GOI) to engage the local students in mind boggling

mathematical activities like they engage the youth in other states of

the India whole year & not on any particular occasion only. On the

same time he hailed the programs conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir

Government science and technology department, to nurture the hidden

talent among the local youth. He also appealed to the youth of state

to think out of box so as to uplift state of Jammu and Kashmir  in

terms of scientific thinking.

Various competitions were Organized including  new innovative thought

discussion, quiz, essay writing, etc, on the occasion.

In Maths Magazine competition, Faizan from NIT srinagar bagged first position.

In Quiz competition, Sadaf Sajad Shah( final year) and Mehreen Altaf (

Ist year) From GovernmentCollege for women Nawakadal, emerged winners

and were selected for regional participation.

In Essay writing competition (class 10th to 12th  category), Saliha

Shah from Government Girls higher sec. School Amira Kadal Srinagar,

claimed first,. In (UG) category, Ifla Farooq ( 2nd Year ) From

Government college for women M.A.Road Claimed first position,

In power point presentation session C.E.O JKIF showed the shortcuts

and Tricks in solving the mathametical problems.

At the end, Er.M.M.Idrees Ul Haq Beigh C.E.O JKIF, distributed award

to the winners.
