Maximum restraint while dealing with law & order situation:IGP

Srinagar, February 13 (Scoop News) –Police force on ground has been directed to exercise maximum restraint while tackling any law and order situation, this was stated by IGP Kashmir,  S M Sahai.
Inspector General of Police  S M Sahai stated that the police force on ground has been directed to exercise maximum restraint while tackling any law and order situation.
The relaxation in the curfew bound areas will be taken at the local levels by District authorities after evaluating the situation from time to time. The areas where the relaxation in curfew has been given, the extension of relaxation period will be taken after assessing the situation.
He also added that availability of essential commodities is being ensured by the civil authorities at all district head quarters. The police is always ready to assist in ensuring the essential commodities are made available to the public if asked to do so.

Meanwhile today situation remained peaceful across the valley so far.
           Curfew was relaxed in areas of police station Kakpora, Lassipora, Rajpora of Pulwama district from 9 am onwards, in Awantipora from 10 am onwards. In Kupwara district, curfew was relaxed from 10 am onwards in the areas of police station Kupwara, Kralpora, Sogam, Lalpora.
In Srinagar District the curfew was relaxed from 9 am onwards in the areas of police stations, R.M Bagh, Kothibagh, Sadder, Rajbagh, Lalbazar, Nigeen, Zakoora, Panthachowk, Parimpora, Bemina and Nowgam.
         In Baramulla the curfew was partially lifted in some areas of police station Baramulla from 4 pm to 6 pm and also in Sopore partial relaxation was given in areas of Sopore police station from 4 pm to 6 pm.
         In Budgam the curfew was relaxed from 10 am to 12 am which was extended till the reports were filed.
