Relief International Bangladesh,a non-political and non-secretarian organization has been implementing technology based education through integrating the school students, teachers and the whole community into ICT since 2005. At present with the support of European Union it is implementing Media Access and Education for Human Rights Program in Bangladesh with the aim of educating the public about the role media in safeguarding and promoting humanrights of the disadvantaged communities.As one of this programs Relief International hosted three day residential Youth Journalism and Human Rights Camp for secondary school students from marginalised communities in Bangladesh. Three day residential Journalism Camp aimed at increasing the journalistic and technological aptitude of students and explore journalism as a career with a view to representing the marginalised communities to bring out their miseries and impediments towards a decent life. In the Camp the visiting journalists worked with the students to define the various aspects of Journalism and its prospect in the context of Bangladesh. The students were encourged to form journalism/Newspaper club in their respective schools and those are internet connected were encourged to participate in PEARL project, world youth news reporter.
At the concluding session the students visited the media houses to experience printing process and also be introduced with the editors.For more information please visit :
