Media Acess and Education for Human Rights:The Context of Bangladesh

on7th January2009, Uttar Badda Islamia Kamil Madrasah,Dhaka organized a workshop named Media Telecentre Workshop with the assistance of Relief International.Workshop was inaugurated by the Vice-principal named Mr.Md.Syed Emdaduddin.

In the workshop the participants were from the madrasah community including teachers, students and some other professionals. The participants were introduced with the modern communication technologies to publicize the human rights infringment in home and abroad.Besides, the sessions were covered with  citizen journalism, video sharing on ICT activism, blogging etc.

The session moderators demonstarted how the community can protect and promote the human rights issues in a constructive way rather than following violence, antagonism, slowgans etc.

The workshop was concluded with a participatory evaluation process to gauge the satisfaction of the participants.
