Over the years, the state is reeling under the shortage of doctors. As the government is seriously considering setting up more medical colleges at various parts of the state, as an immediate measure, it has decided to increase 100 seats for students’ admission in each of the three colleges in order to contain the problem in future.
In Orissa, treatment for mental patients is also a marginal one because of unavailability of qualified doctors and modern apparatus. There is need for qualified and skilled Para-medical staff in all the hospitals.
