Srinagar, February 05(Scoop News) – Jammu & Kashmir lone woman Minister for Social Welfare, Ms. Sakina Itoo on Friday observed that President Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ms Mehbooba Mufti was changing robes and colors like chameleon.
Sakina Itoo while lambasting on the dual and mysterious role of Mehbooba Mufti, today dared her to fully unfold the facts about their 20 years’ extra-ordinary relationship with Padma Shri Awardee, Ghulam Mohammad Mir alias Momma Kanna , before the people. She said that Padam Shri Mir alias Kanna has now publicly revealed, through media, his close association with the Mufti family, since the time Mufti Sayeed was the Union Home Minister.
She in a statement said, “since I don’t want to comment on the personal life and relationship of the Mufti family with Momma Kana and others but as the Pandora-box has been opened by Ms Mufti herself, in an open press conference, therefore, it is very necessary that the people of Jammu and Kashmir, rather the people of the country, should understand the double standards, double speak and dual role of the father and the daughter. Ms. Sakina Itoo said that who doesn’t know that Mehbooba Mufti’s green robes are limited to her visits in lanes and by- lanes of the Valley only to exploit innocent sentiments, while her entire approach and presentation takes somersault when she flies outside the Valley and tries to establish her nationalistic credentials.
Referring to the Press Conference, given for public consumption in her ‘Fair House’ residence at Gupkar, where she tried to conceal their relationship with Momma Kanna and tried to sympathize with stone pelters, in consonance with their Machiavellian strategy of annihilating a person and mourning on his corps, Ms Sakina asked Mehbooba Mufti that don’t they claim political reward for their contribution in getting 16 top commanders killed during their rule.
“If that is her nationalistic character then on what pretext she is encouraging stone pelting in the Valley so that the academic career of children is destroyed, livelihood of poor people is affected and tourism comes to a grinding halt”? Ms Sakina asked, adding, “Is she helping tourism of other neighbouring States to flourish at the cost of normalcy in the Valley, which she claims to love”. She further asked as to why this kind of turmoil is started when tourist season is approaching.
Commenting on the media revelation of Padam Shri Mir alias Kanna’s claim of playing a key role in releasing Rubiya Sayeed, in 1990, Ms Itoo said that Mehbooba Mufti and her father are now morally bound to make full clarification of Rubiya Sayeed’s mysterious kidnapping and mysterious release. She said it was at that time that Jagmohan, who was also having close relationship with the Mufti family, was brought here by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, in his capacity as Union Home Minister, to act as his proxy man.
The Minister dared Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti to justify the human rights violations, committed during that period which had led to the situation because of which the people of Kashmir are passing through a dark tunnel of turmoil. She appealed to Mehbooba Mufti that for the sake of lakhs of orphans and widows, she should now abandon this dual and mysterious role for ever and work for the development only.
