Srinagar, October 16 (Scoop News) – PDP president Mehbooba Mufti presided over a meeting of MLA’s, District Presidents and Zonal presidents which was scheduled to discuss in threadbare the current political situation in the state.
In a statement a party spokesman said that the meeting focused on the rampant corruption in the state under National Conference rule, misgovernance, human rights abuse and the persecution of youth and their targeting by NC party and the government. Everyone in the meeting raised concerns which are affecting the people of the state.
He said many developmental projects are either ignored or are on snail’s pace. The projects which are supposed to be completed in a stipulated time frame are pending and being pushed to the corner.
Human rights right violation is increasing day by day and the ruling government is shunning away from its responsibilities. Issue of mass graves and disappearances are as same as it was. No progress in accountability is so far seen, corruption and miss governance has totally fractured the administration and common man is suffering daily.
The meeting also condoled the death of Former Minister and MLA Mohd Sarafraz Khan. Party president Mehbooba Mufti recounted the late Khan’s services to the society and PDP. Fateha was offered for the departed soul and the meeting extended solidarity with bereaved family.
In a statement party senior leader and deputy leader in the Assembly Ab Rehman Veeri also condoled the death of Sarafraz Khan. He recalled his close association with the departed leader and prayed for his peace.
Among other leaders who offered their solidarity include General Secretary Mohd Dilawar Mir, Senior leader Muzaffar Hussain Beig, Mohd Sartaj Madni , Mohd Khalil Bandh and Syed Bashir Ahmed
