Michael Birkeland, an actor who appears in Mormon-themed movies, was arrested on Friday July 11 for stealing a computer.
After Michael Birkeland visited a class at Utah Valley State College, the professor noticed that the computer Birkeland was using was missing. Later, the professor saw that someone was logged on to the missing computer and saw Michael Birkeland in the computer’s built-in video camera. After the professor tried to contact Birkeland by phone and email, Birkeland covered the camera so he could not be seen.
Michael Birkeland posted bail on Monday. Some of his most popular LDS-themed movies are "Church Ball," "The Singles Ward" and "The Home Teachers."
