Jammu & Kashmir: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Rakesh Pardesi has
expressed deep concern over the insecurity of recently employed Kashmiri
Migrants in different parts of Kashmir. Referring to observation made by Deputy
speaker and PDP leader, Sartaj Madani after his extensive tour to colonies
constructed at Vessu and Mattan, Pardesi while addressing series of meetings
held at various places in Jammu including Purkhu Camp, Top Sherkhania and
Subash Nagear area said that employees are living like sheep in the accommodation
provided to them as more than 4 people have to share a room.
Following instruction of party patron Mufti Mohmmad Syeed
legislators of their respective areas visited the migrants’ accommodations and
expressed dissatisfaction as neither drinking water, nor uninterrupted electric
supplies were made to them. They even reported that ATMs were not installed for
the convenience of migrant employees.
Pardesi said that it was tenure of Mufti Syeed when
renovation and maintenance of temples and shrines of KPs were initiated. Ridiculing
present government for considering KP community a ignored one, Pardesi
lambasted National Conference (NC) leaders for befooling community time and
againg and even on Shivratri festival. He said despite announcement for
supplying fish and walnuts to various camps on reasonable rates community brethren
were forced to purchase goods for three times more than actual rates. He said
that it was tenure of Mufti people felt sigh of relief.
Criticizing Pandit representatives in NC, Pardesi said
despite several time promises not even a single time representative raise the
question regarding hardships being faced by migrant employees in Kashmir
valley. He praised Mufti for instructing party legislators to visit KP
community breather in their respective areas and extended every possible
desired by them.
