Miles Henderson of Purcellville forgot his 21-month-old son in his SUV for most of the day Tuesday. When he returned, the child, Chase, was dead.
Miles Henderson was charged with manslaughter for the death of the child and could face 10 years in prison. Supposedly, Henderson was supposed to drop Chase off at day care before going to work on Tuesday. He forgot and left Chase in the back seat of his SUV in 90 degree heat for most of the day.
Miles Henderson was apprehended in a medical facility where his already dead son was receiving care. Herndon Police Chief Toussaint E. Summers Jr. said that the manslaughter charge was appropriate but that the case was still open for investigation.
