13 Soldiers (security forces) killed by Afghan militant at Upper Dir.
CHITRAL/DIR UPPER: As well as 13 security forces (soldiers) were killed by Afghan militant attacked from Afghanistan a spokesman of Pakistan Army confirmed killing of security forces. According to District Police Officer Dir upper some 100 Afghan militant entered in border area of Dir upper and attacked on security forces posts. He said that such attacks occurred by the militants from Afghanistan. Infiltration from across the border is continued and they also killed a few soldiers last year DPO added. A military officer said that some 100 extremists entered in Pakistani territory but they were challenged by our security forces who patrolling on border area and started indiscriminating firing as a result 6 security forces and 14 miscreants also killed. Some 11 security forces are missing during this encounter seven of them were killed and were beheaded source told. A military officer disclosed that some unknown militants attacked at Dir lower and fired 2 rocket launcher and opened firing on Pakistani area. Pakistan Army have protested against cross border attack on Pak Afghan border area as well as inside of Pakistan territory he added.
While on the other hand spokesman of Tahriki Taliban Pakistan Sirajud Din confirmed attacked on Pakistani security forces while he was talking to foreign media on telephone. He claimed that they have attacked on Barawal Banda and have killed 18 security forces. He further claimed that corps (dead bodies) of 17 security forces are still in their posses
