Jammu, March 28, (Scoop News)- At least one person was killed and three others wounded when militants in army fatigue attacked a jeep on Jammu Punjab national Highway near Hira Nagar, a police spokesman told Scoop News on Friday.
Spokesman said that in an incident at Tarnah Nahhala Bridge in Dayalachak,Hira Nagar Kathua at around 5 am an incident has taken place in which four persons received gunshot injuries out of which one person died and three injured, admitted in GMC.
Police said that a white Bolero no JK 21A -7670 has been carjacked by three unknown persons along with driver. Police sounded high alert.
A vehicle carrying the suspected militants was intercepted by the Army near a private college in Kalibari-Janglote belt of Kathua district, resulting in fresh firing which was going on when last reports came in from the area.
Heavy firing between the two sides is going on, police said.
Security has been stepped up at Army camps and important places in Kathua, Samba and Jammu districts.
