1888 PressRelease – The Military Benefit Assn, a not-for-profit organization with one clear mission: to make quality life insurance affordable for everyone. MBA remains true to that mission and is pleased to support the Natl Guard Exec Directors Assn Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tenn. The National Guard Executive Directors have a significant responsibility and we want to support them said Roy L. Gibson, MBA Pres.
The Military Benefit Association is excited about sponsoring the National Guard Executive Director Association’s annual meeting in Nashville, Tenn. from Jan. 22 to Jan. 24, 2015.
“We had the privilege of meeting many of the executive directors last year in Phoenix; MBA wanted to show our full support for the National Guard Association of the United States [NGAUS] by sponsoring four events at their annual meeting on Thursday and Friday,” said Roy L. Gibson, MBA President. “The National Guard Executive Directors have a significant responsibility to all of our National Guard service members and MBA is committed to supporting them.”
The annual meeting is set to offer a forum for the exchange of timely information of common interest for the mutual benefit of members and the organizations they represent. Additionally, the meeting encourages and assists, when feasible, each state, commonwealth, territory and the District of Columbia to organize and maintain a National Guard association. Finally, the executive directors focus on improving the operational readiness, training and image of the National Guard on both state and national levels.
MBA can be a part of the annual meeting’s goals said Gibson. “We want to support our National Guard; by attending the annual meeting, we are prepared to meet more of the executive directors and help them understand all of the MBA benefits that can offered to their states and their ‘Guardsmen and Guards-women.'”
The Military Benefit Association is one of the newest corporate members to the National Guard Executive Directors Association. Originally, founded in 1956 to support enlisted service members with their life insurance needs, MBA provides great benefits and caring member services. In 1963, the name was changed to Military Benefit Association (MBA) and membership grew as MBA added military officers, federal civilian employees and spouses of personnel who qualified for membership. Most recently, honorably discharged veterans of the Uniformed Services and adult former dependents of MBA members are afforded membership.
At MBA, there is one clear mission: to make quality life insurance affordable for everyone. MBA remains true to that mission.
“MBA is a not-for-profit organization designed to provide active, Guard and Reserve service members, veterans, government service workers and their spouses’ affordable group term life insurance as well as a plethora of other benefits,” said Gibson. “As a non-profit association, we are different from other companies because we are designed to support our members and not the profit and loss statement.”
