Jammu, December 08 (Scoop News) –Jammu and Kashmir government is constructing Mini-Secretariats in the newly established districts of Bandipora, Shopian, Kulgam, Ganderbal, Samba, Ramban, Reasi, Kishtwar.In the connection,Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah Thursday reviewed the status of construction of Mini-Secretariatsin the newly established districts of J&K State. .
In a five hour long marathon meeting, Omar Abdullah took detailed brief about the projects in Tourism sector and in the sectors of Higher Education, Technical Education, Sports, Revenue and R&B. He also took stock of the status of work on the construction of 4-laning of
National Highway project from Lakhanpur to Srinagar..
He received project-wise appraisal of district hospital complexes, supper speciality hospitals at Srinagar and Jammu, 200-bedded additional ward block of L.D. Hospital, Srinagar, and 200-bedded maternity hospitals at Jammu and Srinagar in health sector.

Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand, Minister for Tourism, Nawang Rigzin Jora, Minister for Health, Sham Lal Sharma, Minister for Medical Education, R. S. Chib, Minister for Revenue, Raman Bhalla, Minister for Higher Education, Abdul Gani Malik, Minister of State for PHE, Nasir Aslam Wani, Minister of State for R&B, Javid Ahmad Dar, Political Advisor to the Chief Minister, Devender Singh Rana, Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, B. B. Vyas, Administrative Secretaries of concerned departments and the Head of the Executing Agencies implementing the projects were present in the meeting.
It was revealed in the meeting that the OPD and IPD blocks of district hospital Kishtwar, OPD blocks of Reasi, Barmulla and Kulgam district hospitals have been completed while as work on Ganderbal, Kathua, Rajouri and Bhaderwah district hospitals is in progress. It was stated that 99 percent work of supper speciality hospital Jammu has been completed and it is likely to be fully completed by March 2012. The work on Institution of Traumatalogy, Srinagar is also in progress and 58 percent of it has been completed.
While reviewing the progress on the launch of two flyovers one each at Srinagar and Jammu city, the Chief Minister was informed that the bidding process for both the projects would start in the month of January 2012.
The Chief Minister directed for monitoring of all the mega-projects under execution in the State by the Chief Secretary on fortnightly basis. He said that his office should get the status of the physical and financial progress of these projects on every 1st and 15th day of the month.
Omar Abdullah directed for formulating comprehensive DPRs for the new projects being launched in the State in various sectors. “You should incorporate all the aspects of the requirements in the detailed project reports so that funds are allotted accordingly and execution goes on smoothly”, he added. The Chief Minister also stressed on dovetailing the facilities to take best advantage of the funds available under various schemes.
The Chief Minister received status of progress of work of the under construction degree colleges, polytechnic institutions, ITIs and playfields. He ascertained the progress on widening of Boulevard Road in Srinagar, upgradation of 4-laning of Satwari-R.S.Pora road, convention centre at Jammu, new legislature complex at Jammu, construction of 4th bridge over River Tawi, improvement and upgradation of Bhaderwah-Chamba road, Mandi-Bafliaz road, Khanyar-Gojwara road, new bridge over River Jehlum near Qamarwari, improvement of Khanyar-Zadibal-Pandach road, Baghi Ali Mardan Khan-Hazratbal road, Kuria-Kishwan road in Kishtwar, Beehama-Safapora road, Ladoora Juhama bridge over River Jehlum at Rafiabad.
Omar Abdullah also received progress on the establishment of two Central Universities at Jammu and Ganderbal. He got brief about the progress on the establishment of Government College for Engineering and Technology at Jammu. He also ascertained the status of the improvement and upgradation of the Abhinav Theatre and Tagore Hall.
The meeting will continue tomorrow to discuss progress in other sectors.
