Mir welcomes Hurriyat response towards development of JK state

Chewdara/Srinagar, May 12 (Scoop News) –Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Hassan Mir today welcomed the response of the Hurriyat Conference for showing interest in day to day development scenario of the state.

 The Minister said this while addressing a public gathering at Chiwdara, Beerwah this afternoon.

Ex M.L.A, G.M Bhawan also spoke on the occasion.

Mr Mir said that “statements of various separatist groups on developmental issues through print media is an encouraging step and everyone should appreciate this gesture whole heartedly for the welfare of the people”.  He said that the better future of the people is possible with overall prosperity of the J&K.

 Saying that with the initiative taken for launching mega and ambitious projects across the state,  Mir said that this has become possible with the people’s cooperation only.  He asked the youth to contribute in socio-economic progress of the state by involving themselves so that people of J&K will commensurate with other states on development front.

The Minister said that our youth has enormous potential and they can mobilise their energy for prosperity of the J&K .He said during two decades of long turmoil, the youth of the state had become the first casualty adding that with their sincere efforts, the dark days of the valley have come to an end.  He said that our youth have now realised that violence give us death and destruction and asked them to forget the past and come forward as future belongs to them. He urged them to work hard for attaining quality education as it is the basic pillar to touch the skies of the excellence.

Hailing the response of students for taking part in country’s highest level of competitive exams like IAS, IPS, IFS, Mr Mir said this trend has given a confidence to our educated youth for attaing the highest seat. He said during last three consecutive years, dozens of youths qualify these exams. He hoped that time has come for us to provide positive direction to our talented youth.

Mr Mir said the youth would play a greater role in eradicating the menace of corruption and asked them to provide cooperation to the government to get rid the society from this menace. He said that this is the biggest threat for our existence adding that we have to act collectively to make our society free from this menace.
