Mirwaiz asks Kashmiris to boycott import of Isreali goods & dates

Srinagar, July 13, (Scoop News)-Despite putting several separatist leaders under preventive restrictions, a number of programmes were organised by All Party Hurriyat Conference(APHC) at Pattan, Sopore, Handwara and Anantnag to remember martyrs of 1931.

APHC in a statement issued on Sunday also expressed solidarity and protested against Israeli aggression against the innocent Palestinians.

The statement said in a bid to sabotage the planned programmes by the hurriyat, the authorities once again put APHC leaders under house arrest thereby restricting his participation in programmes connected with the remembrance of July 13 martyrs.

Senior hurriyat leaders Moulana Abbas Ansari, Prof Abdul Gani Bhat, Agha Syed Hassan Al Moosvi and others were placed under house arrest.

A delegation led by Musadiq Adil including GN Zakir and Mir Ghulam Hassan paid tributes to the July 13 martyrs at grave yard Sopore and offered collective fath-e-Khwani for them.

Khaleel Ahmad Khaleel led a delegation to martyrs grave yard Handwara, paid tributes to the martyrs and reaffirmed the resolve to take the struggle forward.

Meanwhile, police dispersed a rally who were raising slogans against Israeli aggression in Palestine and were moving towards their respective martyrs grave yard.

While condemning the house arrest of hurriyat leaders,imposition of strict restrictions on movement in the holy month of Ramzaan, stopping people from offering prayers at mosques and religious places, APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that those parties and individuals have no right to lay flower wreaths on the graves of July 13 martyrs who used their sacrifices to build edifices of power and deserted their cause.

He said that july 13 martyrs offered sacrifices for the sublime cause of democracy,against the despotic rule, against which Kashmiris were subjected to by the then rulers, adding, the mainstream political parties were still main cause of those irritations.

Mirwaiz has appealed the traders community to boycott the import of Israeli goods including dates and other items to protest the Israeli aggression against the innocent Palestinians.
