Mirwaiz cautions Kashmiri Pandits not to become part of dirty politics

Srinagar, August 11,(Scoop News)_Welcoming the proposed talks between India and Pakistan,All Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, said that the success of talks between the two countries was connected to the solution of Kashmir issue.

He said that the leadership of both nations instead of dealing with secondary issues should focus their energies on the solution of Kashmir issue, the main source of confrontation and tension between the two countries.

APHC leader was addressing at a seminar in Srinagar on Monday.

Mirwaiz said that both countries should take steps to ensure a composite dialogue including dialogue on Kashmir issue which shall involve all the stake holders so that stability and peace is established in the South Asian region.

He said that India should realize that Kashmir issue could not be solved through military means, neither by the use of force, coercion, bullying, or by taking cosmetic measures like giving people financial concessions.

APHC leader said Kashmir was a human issue and can be solved only through political means.

Mirwaiz said that Hurriyat has always advocated the return of Kashmiri Pandits back to their native homes and places, adding, but some elements with communal mindset under the garb of return of Kashmiri Pandits were pursuing their own ulterior political agendas.

Under the name of rehabilitation, he said such elements were exploiting the emotions of Kashmiri Pandits and were on the path of dividing Kashmiris on communal lines.

APHC leader said that it was the duty of Kashmiri Pandits that instead of becoming part of any dirty politics, they should become part of the promotion of Kashmir’s inclusive culture and do their utmost to maintain the communal bonhomie existing in the region since hundreds of years.

He said that Kashmiri Pandits are inalienable part of Kashmiri society and their return should become a source of cohesion rather than a cause of disruption in the Kashmiri society.

Mirwaiz said that, following a well thought out conspiracy, our youth was being deliberately targeted and pushed towards
violence.

He said that in the field of education, trade or business, they were marginalized.

He denounced the statement of state Chief Minister asking the youth to adopt non-violent ways to express themselves.

Mirwaiz said that when the rights of entire Kashmiri leadership and people were being usurped, such suggestion amount to a cruel joke.

He stated that Kashmir was an internationally recognized dispute and no sham elections could alter this position or
could be substitute to the resolution of Kashmir.
