Srinagar October 2, (Scoop News)-APHC leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq,Thursday paid glowing tributes to Mir Syed Ali Hamdani on his death anniversary for his contributions in religious and social reform movements in Kashmir.
Mirwaiz, who has himself a doctorate degree on Shah-e-Hamdan’s book ‘Dhakritul Muluk, said that Kashmir had always remained very close to the heart of Ameer Kabir and his contributions to the land and its people were matchless.
Mirwaiz said the teachings of Mir Syed Ali Hamdani did not spread only the word of Allah, but he also brought with him art, craft, skills and industry which boosted the economy of Kashmir and brought economic revolution.
He said due to those skills and crafts Kashmiris earned global fame since hundreds of years.
Mirwaiz exhorted the people to emulate the Islamic teachings of Mir Syed Ali Hamdani and follow the Islamic path shown by him.
Expressing serious concern over the situation arisen after the floods,APHC leader that Allah has put Kashmir in great test and the need of the time was that we should introspect and work for the welfare and positive reforms in the society.
Meanwhile, Mirwaiz visited Idd Gah Srinagar to took stock of the ground situation in view of the eid Nimaaz to be offered there.
He urged the concerned authorities to pace up their efforts to clean and prepare Eidgah for Eid prayers.
Anjuman-e-Auqaf Jamia Masjid has announced that Eid Nimaaz would (Inshallah) be held at historic Idd Gah on October 6, (Monday) at 10 am.
At 9.am Mirwaiz would deliver a sermon on the significance of Eid and a special forgiveness session (Majlis Tauba wa Instigfaar)would also be held in view of the catastrophic situation prevalent in the valley due to floods.
