Srinagar, January 2, (Scoop News)-APHC leader and head of Mutehda Majlis-e-Ulema Mirwaiz Umar farooq said that the crisis faced by the muslims across the globe politically could only be mitigated by following the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In view of the sacred month of Rabi-ul-Awal,Mirwaiz while addressing a Seerat Majlis at historic Jamia Masjid, organized by Anjuman-e-Auqaf, threw light on the various teachings of prophet.
He said Muslims can never extricate themselves from the issues and problems faced by them unless they abide by the teachings of Quran, hadith and Sunnah of Prophet.
Mirwaiz said that in this regard it is mandatory on people to enlighten themselves, their families and the society with Islamic teachings and values and imbibe them as their way of life.
Commenting on the year gone by,he said that the devastating flood last year was a major challenge to the people of Kashmir who suffered tremendous economic and infrastructural loss.
But the commitment and comradrie shown by the people in the face of such disaster showed that Kashmiris can rise up to any eventuality and overcome it with an amazing resilience.
He said that such resilience and steadfastness will inshallah one day lead us to the success of our political struggle.
Expressing concern over the loss of life and property on LoC during the recent escalation of violence on the eve of New Year, Mirwaiz stated that till the major cause of confrontation between India and Pakistan, ie the Kashmir issue, is not resolved, instability and insecurity would
continue to mar South Asia.
When nuclear powers like India and Pakistan would not take serious steps like implementing UN resolutions or initiating dialogue between the three stake holders, the political instability would continue to rule the sub continent,he said.
Mirwaiz said that hurriyat had always maintained that the elections can in no way affect the historical and political reality associated with the Kashmir problem ,and has no capacity or authority to undermine the dissent of the people who have been struggling for their rights for decades.
Meanwhile, APHC Chairman announced that under the AKH Akis housing initiative for the flood affected, by Dar-ul-Khair Mirwaiz Manzil,in the next phase six more houses would be constructed at Chattabal Srinagar on January 7.
