 Chitral jolted with light earthquake.

 

CHITRAL: The entire parts of Chitral felt jolts of light earth on Friday morning some 9.50 AM but  human and property loss was reported until filling of this report.

Chitral received snowfall once again on Monday morning as a result restoration work of electricity supply was badly affected once again. As supply of electricity has been suspended for the last 10 days after heavy snowfall and the local hydro power house can not bear the load of town area as a result consumers facing of 12 to 36 hours load shedding as there is  no electricity in maximum parts of Chitral. Residents of Chitral have appeal to Chairman WAPDA for running of diesel generators to solve this problem for a few days.

 

Nazim directed Pesco staff for immediate restoration of power supply.

 

CHITRAL: An emergency meeting was held at TMA Chitral office under the chair of Tehsil Nazim Sartaj Ahmad Khan comprising over officiating assistant Manager operation of Peshawar Electricity supply company (Pesco), Sub Retired Nusratud Din a prominent figure of Chitral, M. Raja senior vice president of Awami National Party (ANP) Chitral, Shaukat Advocate  and a delegation from Drosh comprising over elites of the area. Members of delegation complained of slow work by wapda official in restoration of power supply to the area and there is no complaint office at Drosh. Tehsil Nazim Chitral directed Pesco staff to boost their work and restore supply of electricity immediately without any further delay. He also requested delegation of Drosh area to cooperate and help pesco staff while they working of maintenance of heavy and light transmission pole and cable. It is worth to mention here that supply of electricity to Chitral has been suspended due to heavy snowfall and there is no alternate source locally at Drosh area and work on Sheshi Hydro power project is also delay. Elites of Drosh assured Pesco staff of their full support and providing them nutrition and meal etc during their work at Droah area.
