Jammu, April 21 (Scoop News) – All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference(ASKPC) today lambasted the Jammu and Kashmir Government for their failure in protecting religious places in the Kashmir valley.
In a statement it was said that some miscreants have encroached the Shumshan Bhoomi”(Cremation ground) at Lar Ganderbal and have destroyed the trees by cutting them without any permission from concerned KP committee of the “ Bhoomi”
Statement sait that in this context an emergency meeting of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference(ASKPC) was held under the chairmanship of its Sr. Vice president,R.K.Raina, with regard to illegal encroachment of religious places of KPs in the valley.The meeting took serious note of it .
In the meeting the General Secretary of the Organization H. L.Chatta, said that from time to time the Government was informed about such happenings but always Government failed up to take any action against any grabber/encroacher of the land of the religious places of KPs in the valley. He said that on one side the Government agents/miscreants are encroaching/grabbing the properties of KPs.quoting instance in this behalf he said that recently some miscreants have destroyed the trees of shumshan Bhoomi Lar by cutting them and have grabbed about 8 kannals of land out 12.16 kanals of the said land.He demanded immediate action against the culprits and restoration of full area of cremation ground to the concerned KP committee of shumshan Bhoomi”
He said that in case of failure KPs will be compelled to come out on the roads for mass demonstration against the Government.
