Jammu, September 17(Scoop News)- Taking strong note of confession by the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah that public service is his only political agenda in a function held in Jammu, BJP State Spokesperson Dr. Nirmal Kamal cautioned Omar Abdullah that public service infact is the responsibility of a Chief Minister rather than political agenda. A Chief Minister as leader of the government has to serve the public and not politicize the public service. By terming public service as political agenda, he has done disservice to the state during his tenure as CM-a chair he does not deserve. Ultimately, the truth has come out of the horse’s mouth itself to establish as to why public of the state is suffering at the hands of ruling government headed by such an immature CM picked by the ruling government at the centre infested with apathetic attitude towards the common public. How can a pampered inheritor of a dynastic government understand the virtual sanctity of public service as a responsibility rather than a political agenda.
Dr. Nirmal Kamal further reiterated that the public of this state has become victim of such feudal mentality visible all around be it the compensation to the victims of Kishtwar riots, earth quake at Doda, Bhaderwah are injustice meted out to the non-gazetted employees of the state government who are often seen on the roads as protestors, unemployed youth or the increasing crime against women, or gross neglect of developmental works benefitting common public.
The ruling coalition government in the state led by Omar Abdullah who considers public service as his only political agenda, is selective in his approach to public service often observed as providing such service very selectively. Very recently Supreme Court’s rebuke to the J&K government for differential ex-gratia compensation to the state subjects and the outsiders also highlight the selective approach with regard to the public service of the Chief Minister.
It is ridiculous that Omar Abdullah alleged Arun Jaitley, leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha for his selective approach, in his speech, without peeping his own communal mindset and also of his colleagues who every day are engaged in out pouring their thoughts soaked with communal hatred misleading and misusing the authority being in power against BJP. The state requires a government totally dedicated to the public and not a government who will play politics with the public, said Dr. Nirmal Kamal.
