A talented female teacher from a remote and neglected area.
CHITRAL: Miss Saeeda Bibi belongs to Brep village a remote and non accessible area of upper Chitral situated some 150 KM from here. There is no government girl’s school in the area and that is why Ms Saeeda shifted to the house of her relative at Islamabad. She passed her matriculation examination from F.G. Girls High School NO.2 G-6/2 Islamabad and passed FA as a private candidate from Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Islamabad. Now she is a student of BA level from AIOU and also teaching in Early Childhood Development Center Balach a branch of G.D. Langland School and College Chitral. In an exclusive interview with APP Ms Saeada said that there was no school in her area but she was much desirous and fondful for education and for this purpose she shifted to her relative house at Islamabad. After passing her matriculation examination she returned to her native town to educate other girls of the area and started work as early Childhood education teacher in a community based school of Brep. She served on the same position in different schools so as to develop early childhood of children. Now she is teaching to ECD section Balach of G. D. Landland School and College.
Ms Saeeda completed training course from Aga Khan Education Service on Early childhood education and from Professional Development Center of Aga Khan University branch Chitral on the same title. She also qualified a certificate course on English language at Hashoo Foundation Rawalpindi. Miss Saeeda also participated in Anita Ghulam Ali world Teachers day award 2009 and won 3rd prize at national level as an Early Childhood Education teacher. Miss Saeeda expressed her desire that she want to promote early childhood education system in the area because she consider it foundation of higher education. She wishes to help new generation especially the beginners for quality education. She dedicate her award to all her well wishers. Miss Saeeda faced very tough journey to get her education but this is dire need of the time that government as well as private sector should to establish new schools especially for girls so as to provide equal opportunity for getting at least basic education to women folk.
