"I love Big Bird, but I’m still going to fire him!" revealed Mr. Mitt Romney, in the agonizing First Debate of the United States of America Presidential Contest, 2012. The naked relish with which this Republican standardbearer plans to dispatch the innocent yellow bird was blistering. Mitt Romney himself was… hectic. That’s the word that comes to mind for his badgering, bullying, unnerving performance. Apparently these are the qualities necessary to be CEO of a major "private, alternative asset management firm." (I looked up Bain Capital on the Internet, and this is its definition. Doesn’t it worry you that Mitt’s main accomplishment is SOMETHING THAT CANNOT BE EXPRESSED IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE?) How many Americans believe that we need a Chief Executive who’s excellent at dominating Jim Lehrer? That’s the question this First Debate poses.
