ALDS

Texas @ Tampa Bay

Two games played today. Texas was at Tampa Bay in game three with the series tied  at one game each, and the Yankees were at Detroit also with the series tied at one.

Tampa Bay took a 1-0 lead in the fourth on a solo shot from Desmond Jennings. Texas answered with four runs in the seventh two from a two run shot by Mike Napoli and the other two with a single from Josh Hamilton. Down 4-1 in the bottom of the seventh Tampa came back with one run and in the eighth and picked up their third run with another solo shot from Desmond Jennings making the score 4-3, Texas now up by one.

The score remained 4-3 and Tampa tried to rally in the bottom of the ninth but could not come up with the tying score. Colby Lewis gets the win for Texas and David Price the loss for Tampa. The series goes to 2-1, advantage Texas.

The New York Yankees lost their game to Detroit by a score of 5-4. CC Sabathia and Justin Verlander went head to head and the Tigers came out on top with a win. Rafael Soriano relieved CC and gets the loss for the Yankees and Verlander the win for the Tigers. Jose Valverde picks up the save for Detroit, and they go to a 2-1 series lead.

Today we will see all eight teams in action with a must win by the Yankees and Tampa Bay to keep their hopes alive. They are both down two games to one, one more loss and their season is over.

In the NLDS Arizona also faces elimination, they are down 2-0 to Milwaukee.
