Kansas City is now 2-1 on the season after beating the Angels 5-4.They came back down 4-3 in the eighth with two runs and held on to win. Chris Getz went three for four and had the game winning RBI single in the eighth.
In the National League the Washington Nationals beat the Braves 6-3.Former Philly Jason Werth seems to be right at home with his new team and today was three for four with two doubles. John Lannan got his and Washington’s first win of the season.
Ten runs for the New York Yankees as they down the Tigers 10-6. Alex Rodriguez hit his 614th home run and the Yanks are off and running winning their first two games of the season.
Matt Cain righted the ship for the Giants who were 0-2 going into today.With Cain’s super pitching the Giants downed the Dodgers 10-0 .Cain pitched six innings, allowed five hits no runs, no walks and struck out three.
My Phillies are now 2-0 this season. Cliff Lee pitched seven innings striking out eleven, walking none, he gave up three runs on four hits. His first win of what will be many this season.The Phillies had nine runs on fourteen hits, three for extra bases all doubles.GO PHILLIES!
