FRIDAY QUICK HITS

   A six run third for the Dodgers was more than enough for the win in Chicago but they doubled that number for a 12-2 win. Juan Uribe and Matt Kemp both homered for the Dodgers it was the second home run for both this year. Andre Ethier was one for two and now has a nineteen game hitting streak under his  belt, the longest in the majors. The Dodgers had the twelve runs on fourteen hits and ten walks. Juan Uribe was two for four with four RBI which gives him twelve this year.
   Chad Billingsley (2-1) gets the win pitching 6.1 innings giving up two runs on seven hits, struck out three and walked three. The Dodgers are now a game over .500 at 11-10.
   The Cubs are now 9-10 with the loss. Casey Coleman (1-1) started for the Cubs but only lasted 2.2 innings, he was lifted after giving up six runs on six hits walking four and striking out four. Coleman takes the loss for Chicago. Kosuke Fukudome had three of the Cubs eight hits struck out and walked once.

   The Texas Rangers had nine extra base hits and scored eleven runs to down Kansas City 11-6. Five home runs, a triple and three doubles were part of their  attack. All who played and had a chance to get to the plate had at least one hit for the Rangers. Ian Kinsler went three for five scored three runs and had one RBI. Two of his three hits went for extra bases, a double and home run.
