KANSAS CITY ROYALS @ NEW YORK YANKEES

   The Royals won their eighth game out of the last twelve and the
Yankees lost their sixth game in the last nine. Kansas City scored six runs in the second inning on their way to a 11-5 win.
   Melky Cabrera hit his fifth home run of the year and Eric Hosmer his second for the Royals. They also each doubled along with four of their teammates for a total of six two baggers. The Royals scored eleven runs on sixteen hits.
   Sean O’Sullivan (2-2) started for KC and gets the win. He went 6.2 innings allowing four runs on six hits.
   Ivan Nova (3-3) the starter for the Yankees lasted only three innings giving up eight runs on ten hits and gets his third loss of the season.
   Alex Rodriguez nailed his sixth home run of the year and Robinson Cano went long for his ninth. Kansas is now 20-17 and the Yankees 20-15.
