PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES @ ATLANTA BRAVES

Roy Halladay lost his second complete game in a row by a 3-2 score to the Atlanta Braves. This was also the Phillies second loss in a row and lose the series to the Braves 2-1.
Halladay pitched well giving up three runs on eight hits walking two with seven K’s. He gave up a home run to Dan Uggla, a solo shot which was the game winner for the Braves. All of the other Braves hits were singles and many of them broken bat singles.
Tim Hudson got the start for Atlanta and pitched seven strong innings allowing two runs on just four hits. Jonny Venters pitched the eighth and got his third win with no losses this season. Craig Kimbrel picked up his tenth save of the season.
The Phillies delivered only four hits for Halladay and both runs were the result of a John Mayberry home run, his second of the year.
Atlanta’s record improves to 23-19 and the Phillies go to 25-14.
