   This should read GIAMBI @ PHILLIES! The one man show featured a player who has over 400 home runs in his career, at the age of 40 going long, not once or twice but three times and collecting seven RBI in the process.

    Jason Giambi faced starter Kyle Kendrick in the first with two on and nailed a three run shot. Jason Giambi faced Kyle Kendrick in the third with one on and nailed a two run shot. By the fifth  Kendrick was gone so Giambi faced Danys Baez and with one on, and you guessed it another two run shot. Not bad for a youngster!

    The oldest player to hit three home runs in a game was Stan Musial at the age of 41 back in 1962. Giambi provided all the
runs for Colorado in the 7-1 win. He is now the second oldest player in baseball history with the three long balls in a game.
   Jhoulys Chacin started for the Rockies and improves his record to 5-2. Chacin went seven innings and allowed one run on four hits, walked one and struck out nine.
   The Phillies started Kyle Kendrick (3-3) and he lasted only three innings. Kyle gave up five runs on seven hits and gets the loss.     

   Once again the offense was weak with six hits and scoring only one run.
   The Phillies split the two game series with the Rockies and are now 26-17. Colorado with their win are now 23-19.
