TEXAS RANGERS @ PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES

   Another loss for the Phillies as they could come up with only five hits resulting in no runs. Another good outing by their pitching staff but not good enough.
   Roy Oswalt (3-2) pitched seven innings scattering eight hits and allowing one run. That was all the Rangers would need as the Phil’s bats were silent.
   Matt Harrison (4-4) started for Texas and gets the 2-0 win. Harrison went 8.1 innings, gave up five hits, three walks with three K’s. Neftali Feliz recorded his ninth save of the year for Texas.
   The win allowed Texas to avoid the sweep as the Phillies won the first two games of the series. Both teams need to improve their offense and they both should benefit with the return of some key players on Monday. Chase Utley will return for the Phillies and Nelson Cruz and Josh Hamilton are back for Texas.

NEW YORK METS @ NEW YORK YANKEES: The Yankees put another game in the win column as they beat the Mets 9-3. They were losing 3-1 going into the bottom of the seventh but put eight runs on the board for a 9-3 lead and and win.

Alex Rodriguez was four for five, Curtis Granderson nailed home run number sixteen and Derek Jeter went two for five with two RBI. Luis Ayala (1-0) gets the win for the Yankees and Mike Pelfrey (3-4) the loss for the Mets.
