PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES @ MILWAUKEE BREWERS

Game three of the four game series in Milwaukee and once again the Phillies get yet another win. That is three in a row against the Brewers and the prior three games against the Atlanta Braves, all wins.

Cliff Lee started for the Phillies and he pitched a gem. Lee went seven innings and gave up two runs, one earned, on six hits, walked two and had seven K’s. No decision for Cliff. Brad Lidge pitched the eighth and winning pitcher Michael Stutes (6-1) took care of the ninth. Ryan Madson came in for the tenth and earned his 39th save.

Hunter Pence went three for three with two walks and one RBI. Pence has his batting average up to .312. Placido Polanco also had a strong game going three for five with one RBI.

Randy Wolf started for the Brewers and went seven innings also, allowing two runs on nine hits. No decision here either. LaTroy Hawkins (1-1) pitched the tenth and gets the loss.

The Phillies are six games from the 100 win mark at 94-48, six wins in a row, 11-2 in the "Final 33", 20 games remaining. Sunday Vance Worley will take the mound for the Phillies, Vance is 11-1,with a 2.85 ERA. Yovani Gallardo is starting for the Brewers he is 15-10,3.71 ERA. The Phillies are looking for the four game sweep.
