Women folk can be empowered only by imparting different skill training MNA Chitral Shahzada Muhayuddin.
CHITRAL: The only way to empower women folk is possible through imparting them different training and enhancing their skill capacity for raising their life standard said Shahzada Muhayuddin MNA Chitral and former Federal Minister while visiting Chinar Arts & Craft Center (handicraft) Mughulandeh (CACC) Chitral. He said that environment of Chitral as comparative to other district of NWFP is very feasible for women folk to gain and earn their livelihood without any bars. He said women of Chitral are very hardworking and their hand made products and handicrafts like very much on country wide as well as on world level. He highly hailed efforts and services of Khadija Sardar Managing Director of the center for training local women in different skill and providing job opportunities as well as to earn their livelihood with a honor and respected way at their door step. MNA assured of his full cooperation and appraised them to expand this series in whole Chitral for providing more opportunities to women folk for gaining their livelihood. MNA Chitral visited different section of CACC like rug making, sewing, handicraft of different varieties, sewing of sweeter, warm sheet, woolen shall, carpet making etc and appreciated it. He also purchased hand made carpet from this center and assured them of his fully cooperation. Earlier that he was briefed by Khadija Sardar MD of the center who complained of very narrow place for this center and demanded for a vast and big center.
Earlier that MNA Chitral also inaugurated a ladies waiting room by cutting ribbon of waiting room at Shiaqo tak constructed by Legal Awareness Program for Human Rights (LAPH). He was briefed by Chairman Board of Directors LAPH Niaz Ali Shah regarding their aim and objectives and achievement in Chitral as well as hailing and acceptance publicly. MS Zaibun Nisa lady councilor of Chitral also thanked LAPH for fulfillment long waiting of women of folk for constructing this center. She said that hundred of women especially girls students of different colleges and Schools were facing great problems due to no waiting room for them especially in rain, snowfall and bad weather. But on my request LAPH constructed this waiting room and long awaited demand of masses of these several villages was fulfilled. She also thanked LAPH and MNA Chitral for encouraging them by inauguration the waiting room at Bus stop. MNA Chitral also appreciated good works of LAPH for rehabilitation of widows, compensating poor and deserving students, creating awareness among the masses regarding human and women rights. He termed this waiting room a gift to women of Chitral on the eve of National women day. MNA Chitral also visited an other center of woolen products at Shiaqo tak.
