Jammu/Kargil, December 05, (Scoop News) – Lashing out at the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) Prime Ministerial candidate,Narendiar Modi, over his unwarranted reference to Shia community of Kargil, district congress committee (DCC) Chief Ghulam Raza, on Thursday expressed surprise over his (Modi) sudden love lost for them.
“How can he (Modi) be so warm to Shias of Kargil when he hesitates to put on skull cap on his (Modi) head,”Raza lamented in a Press statement issued in Jammu, the winter capital.
Referring to his Public rally at Jammu on Sunday last, DCC chief asked what BJP has done for the people of Kargil during their six long rule at the center.
During Kargil war in 1999,Raza said ,the local people fought shoulder to shoulder with brave Indian soldiers on the strenuous terrain of Kargil and repulsed the external aggression launched by a neighbouring country.

These people were not paid a penny as compensation for their displacement during their rule, Raza said.
“Leave the ordinary citizens alone ,they(BJP) did not even spare the coffins of our brave soldiers who fought valiantly for the nation on the heights of Kargil” asked Raza
He said Kargil has invariably got maximum attention in ts development from the Congress Party.
To name a few,be it schedule tribe(ST) status,Hll development council for the region, Rs 3000 crore for Kargl- Zanaskar road,Rs 300 crore Nimmu-Padam road or Chetuk Hydal Power Project ,Congress Party has always cared for the people of Kargil region ,DCC Chief asserted.
