More Than Thirty Seven Thousand IDP’S Returned To Government Held Areas

Sri Lankan Government Sources said this evening that   Thirty Seven Thousand Two Hundrad In Displaced Persons(IDP’S) fled to  Government held areas up to yesterday .

Yesterday alone another Three Hundrad Fifty Five IDP’S who  fled away from the LTTE held area arrived to Trincomalee District.They were checked and those who were ill got admitted to the Hospitals.Government earlier said that they are planning to Accomodate around Two Hundrad Thousand IDP’S according to the reports receiving that a large number of Civilians are held by the LTTE in their remaining area in Puthukkuduyirippu.

Meanwhile Several Foreign Ambassedors to Sri Lanka visited the IDP Camps in the North yesterday to see the way they are functioning at the moment.
