A study by UK property investment specialists, RW Invest, has revealed that more women are now showing an interest in investing in property. In 2018, there was a 140 per cent rise in the number of women searching online for UK property, while the overall number of female’s investing in property had grown by 78 per cent from September to October 2018. From these statistics, it’s evident that the property industry, once dominated by men, is now becoming more of an attractive venture for women. So why should more women consider taking this route?
The main reason why anyone chooses to invest in property is to gain better financial freedom. Property investment has the ability to massively boost people’s finances, generating a significant amount of extra income each month through rental returns. For this reason, property investment makes a great route to go down for women who are interested in gaining better financial stability. Today’s females generally have more financial freedom than generations of women before them, choosing more career-focused goals than in the past. Investing in property wisely and with the right research can result in some fantastic returns, which could even open up the possibility of owning multiple investment properties further down the line.
Property investment is a great way to earn extra money alongside your full-time day job. Three-quarters of over 100,000 large firms are still paying women less than men. In order to earn the same amount as their male counterparts, many women look for ways to generate an additional source of income, and property investment is the perfect way to do this. Until these issues of gender inequality are fully resolved in every workplace, investing is a good way for women to earn the same amount, or more than, their male colleagues.
Property investment could even turn into a new career in itself. Investors who are dedicated to finding the best opportunities offering the highest return on investment sometimes find that they’re making enough money to quit their existing job and focus solely on their properties. Being a full-time landlord could be a particularly appealing career for women who want a job that’s lucrative and challenging, but also provides a lot of freedom. Women who are thinking of becoming mothers or want to spend time caring for their child could benefit from working for themselves, making full-time property investment a fantastic option.
Alternatively, property investment can simply be a great way to build upon existing skills and learn new ones. Women that choose to invest in property alongside their full-time career could find that they develop new skills that are useful for their current role. Some of the main skills that property investment can bring are time-management, planning, communication, and experience of running and managing a business, which could come in handy for future entrepreneurial goals.
All in all, if you’re a female that’s keen to grow your finances and enter the world of property, investing is definitely something to consider. Before going ahead with your investment, make sure you’re fully knowledgeable about the industry, the best investment options for you, and all the financial aspects that it involves.
