A TV Station in Metro Manila exclusively reported yesterday that a number of Filipino nationals are now overstaying in Morocco that serves as a transit point anywhere else in Europe. The visa free northwester African country is now the favorite destination for illegal immigrants from the Philippines. It was shown that the Filipino nationals have the same purpose of going to Europe to join their relatives who had been in Europe for long years now. Unscrupulous brokers in Morocco with the help of some Filipino nationals are responsible in processing the papers of their willing clients. The payment runs in thousand of dollars. The prepared destinations are Spain and Italy where a sizable group of Filipinos are located. The promising job opportunities in Europe always bring promising future for these people despite of going through obstacles and debacles in going to Europe.
