Most Mock Elections Prove to be Accurate

Throughout the country, as people like you headed to the polls– kids did as well. Your vote counted, their vote was solely for fun. Although the vote was for fun it was the winner from many of the mock elections that came out to be the 44th president. In a overwhelming amount of schools throughout the nation, Obama came out on top. Although polls did show that young voters were leaning towards Obama rather than McCain, the kids really did vote our next president. My school, held a mock election- November 4th. The voting was optional, and private as in a real election. Throughout the day people showed their pride for their choice of president. Many were for Obama, and roamed through the hallways shouting "O-bam-a!" and wearing the t-shirts for Obama. In our school, Obama came out on top as in many other schools. Each History class was assigned a state and voted for their state. We were assigned the state of Oklahoma. In my class, Obama had 15 votes will McCain had 6 and 1 voted for other. The choices on the ballot were, Obama, McCain, and other (independents). Many McCain supporters got rowdy about the class picking Obama. Mock Elections are opening a new path for kids around the country.
