WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wisconsin (GroundReport) – Dozens of motorists paid a mere 34.9 cents at a Citgo station Monday. Could it be that gasoline prices are falling? And falling drastically?
Not quite. The truth of the story was that although the sign advertised $3.43 for a gallon of premium fuel, the pump cost gauged at $0.349 per gallon.
Kelly Joosten who usually spends a $100 for a full tank told The Associated Press, “That was amazing."
"People kept coming, so fast," station owner JP Raval said. "Everything was crowded; it was like a fairground,” reports AP.
