MTS Management Group is honored to announce their artists have been nominated in the 2016 Josie Music Awards. MTS and their artists received a total of 38 nominations in the event’s second annual awards.  The Josie Music Awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, TN. The red-carpet event, presented by The Josie Show and Country Blast Radio, will include award presentations, performances, meet & greets, and more. Alabama country rocker Donica Knight, Texas country artist Madelyn Victoria, and Ohio-based country singer Richard Lynch led all MTS Artists with 6 nominations each. Donica Knight received nominations for Modern Country Female, Modern Country Song Female “Love Ain’t a Prize,” Modern Country Album Can’t Buy A Southern Girl, Modern Country Video “Love Ain’t a Prize,” Modern Country Female Entertainer, and Female Country Songwriter. Madelyn Victoria received nods for Traditional Country Female, Traditional Country Song “He Only Loves Me on the Dance Floor,” Traditional Country Album, Madelyn Victoria, Traditional Country Video “He Only Loves Me on the Dance Floor,” Traditional Country Entertainer, Female Country Songwriter. Richard Lynch was nominated for Traditional Country Male, Traditional Country Group (Richard Lynch Band), Traditional Country Song “A Better Place,” Traditional Country Album A Better Place, Traditional Country Video “She’s Got Me Drinking Again,” Traditional Country Entertainer.

Swedish country artists, Hicks and TJ Leonard both received 5 nominations. Hicks was nominated for Modern Country Male, Modern Country Song Male “I Belong To You,” Modern Country Video “I Belong To You,” Modern Country Male Entertainer, Male Country Songwriter. TJ Leonard received nominations for Modern Country Male, Modern Country Song Male “Remember Those Times,” Modern Country Album High On Livin’, Modern Country Video “Remember Those Times,” Male Country Songwriter.

Canadian singer/songwriters, Billy Grima and Ed Roman each received nominations for Pop Contemporary Artist.  Billy Grima was also nominated for Pop Song “Picture Of You and Me.” Ed Roman received two additional nominations for Best Americana Artist and Americana Song “Lay One Down.” Australian big jazz band for kids, Kinderjazz received a nomination for Best Jazz Artist.  Pittsburgh-based metal guitarist Xander Demos was nominated for Best Rock Artist.

The Award Winning Josie Show has been on the air since October 2009.  Josie has conducted over 2,000 interviews with guests such as recording artists, Grammy Legends, Platinum Recording Artists, composers, County Music Hall of Fame Legends, writers, movie stars, and also upcoming independent artists.
