Mukesh Ambani, the CEO of Reliance Industries, stated that his company will be investing Rupees 1,00,000 Crore in the next 12 to 18 months in Gujarat. The investments will enhance the petrochemical production capacity and help to launch the much-awaited 4G broadband services. It will also contribute to the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Digital India’ initiatives. Ambani is hopeful that if all will work in the spirit of partnership then India will soon become the world’s fastest growing economy, under the able leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.This announcement was made at the inaugural function of Vibrant Gujarat, a global summit held at Gandhinagar.

Ambani’s Statement
Ambani said that they havestarted their journey of ‘Make in India’ by setting up global-scale manufacturing facilities for textiles, synthetic fibers, petrochemicals, rubber and petrochemical refining.
He said that as part of the investment in retail and providing world-class digital services, Reliance will partner and enable thousands of small businesses and Gujarati entrepreneursto create a virtuous cycle of prosperity for millions of Gujaratis. He encouraged investors to follow his lead and invest in Gujarat to get benefits.
He said, “Vibrant Gujarat is not just an event to celebrate the spirit of business, but a declaration of Gujarat’s determination to move ahead. Under the leadership of our Prime Minister, the same will be spread across the nation, to make it Vibrant India. This is an affirmation that India is marching forward with a clear vision to emerge as a global power even when most of the world is struggling with low growth.”
He also spoke about Reliance Foundation, which has touched 4 million Indians spread over 5,500 rural and urban locations. He is honored to lead PanditDeendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) that holds several sessions as part of Vibrant Gujarat. PDPU is located in Gandhinagar and offers multiple courses like engineering, arts and management along with maximum real-life exposure to its students. Reliance Foundation provides necessary financial support to PDPU to make it one of the leading universities in the world.
