Mumbai, India (GroundReport) – According to news reports in India, intelligence sources have said that the Mumbai terrrorists who carried out coordinated attacks on the city planned to attack the iconic 150-year-old Times of India building.
A confession from a terrorist identified as a member of the Pak Lakshar group said that he did the "right thing" and that he had no regrets, according to police in Mumbai, reports NDTV, a local TV station that has been following the story.
Several funerals were held on Saturday for police and commando officers and the head chef of the Taj hotel, killed in the attacks.
All 12 terrorists are from Karachi, Pakistan and were aged from18 to 28, according to news reports. The gunmen booked room no. 630 at the Taj hotel to store explosives using fake college IDs and booked the room for 4 days.
The IP address for the Deccan Mujahideen message claiming responsibility for the attacks was traced to location outside India, confirm Indian news media.
