Charlotte-Gastonia-Rock Hill, NC-SC – Murata Machinery USA, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-volume CNC production machinery for industrial applications, has announced the introduction of its new ML400L Shaft Turning Machine.
“The ML400L is a longer version of Muratec’s ML400 shaft turning machine,” said Steve Landrum, North American Sales Manager of Murata Machinery USA’s Turning business unit. “The original ML400 is still part of Muratec’s Turning Division lineup, but the ML400L expands the automated turning of shaft parts up to 570 mm (22.4″) in length and up to 200 mm (7.9″) in diameter.”
With its twin upper and lower turrets with roller support, the ML400L can reduce cycle times by pinch turning. It is equipped with an MT5 tailstock center and offers a Live Tool option for small secondary holes. The ML400L is also available with one or two turrets, and the Muratec high-speed 3-axis CNC gantry loader.
