Rajouri/Jammu, March 16 (Scoop News) – A Muslim delegation comprising ten members visited the localities of minority community on Friday and condemned the atrocities committed by forces with them during curfew . The delegation comprised prominent advocate Ch. Liaqet Ali , journalist Shafiq Mir, district president NC , Bashir Ahmed Wani ,Moulana Ameer Mohammad Shamsi, Nazak Hussain Shah, Er. Liaqet Ali , trade union leader Shahbaaz Khan, Haji Alem Din, Moulana Yaeen Ahmed and Mushtaq Ahmed . The delegation was also later joined by divisional commissioner Jammu Pawan Kotwal .
During the visit to the various localities of minority community, the delegation found that the forces deployed in curfew had committed large scale atrocities on the civilians, window panes were smashed, women and children beaten mercilessly . The delegation visited about 50 house of minority community where the in mates complained that they
were mercilessly beaten by the forces inside their ouses during the curfew hours .
Later speaking to media persons, journalist Shafiq Mir and advocate Liaqet Ch condemned the act of forces and termed the action unwanted . “ We condemn this action of forces and demand inquiry of the whole episode”, said Shafiq Mir . The delegation also assured the minority community that they ( Hindu community) are their integral part and no body can divide them. The delegation also appealed the community leaders to come forward for peace and restore routine business .
On the good will gesture of Muslim community delegation, Sanathan Dhram Sabha presidedent Danesh Shrama, senior BJP leader Vibodh Gupta and ex municipal president and senior BJP leader Rajinder Gupta thanked the Muslim delegation for their sympathetic approach . “ We are thankful to the Muslim delegation for visiting our houses in the times of crisis and pain”, said BJP leader Advocate vibodh Gupta.
