NADRA Office to be closed

CHITRAL: General Councilor of Union Council Terich, Azam Khan have appeal to high ups of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) for early payment of office rent of NADRA office Mastuj pending for the last 2 years. He said that NADRA office was functioning and providing better service to inhabitants of Mastuj Tehsil but it was closed in December 2007 due to some unknown reasons  hence the office was re-opened by efforts of Tehsil Nazim Mastuj Shahzada Sikandarul Mulk in January, 2008 and working since that. They preparing  and issuing national identity cards to the entire population of the area despite less staff at office and lack of facilities but the residents of the area are satisfied from their service. He said that the NADRA office working here since January, 2008 but payment of office rent is still pending. He said that Tehsil Nazim Sikandarul Mulk was paying office rent from his own budget but now their tenure has been completed and might be dissolved the present set up under local government system and it is fear that NADRA office would be closed once again, as a result thousands of population would be suffered badly because it is very difficult for them to travel from Mastuj to Chitral which is taking some 5 to 15 hours.  He said that if rent of NADRA office was not paid the owner of the building have warned to lock it as a result thousands of people would be deprived from this facility (which is available at their doorstep). He appeal to Director General NADRA and ministry of Interior for early payment rent of NADRA office Mastuj so as to enable its staff to continue their service (by issuing National Identity Cards to public) in the interest of public service smoothly.
