Nation desperately needs young leaders: Sajad Lone

Bandipora,February 07, (Scoop News)- Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference (JKPC) chairman Sajad Gani Lone , has welcomed the joining of Mohammad Iqbal Lone into the party fold at a rousing rally organised by JKPC at Bandipora.
Mohammad Iqbal Lone is a young, dynamic and noted social activist who hails from Bandipora and has worked for humanitarian, developmental and rights based programs with local and national and international organizations and also participated in national & international programmes and have raised voices for development of Kashmir region at many national and international forums.
Speaking on the occasion, Sajad Lone said, “Politics is science to manage the country or state. Youth is young blood of nation and active worker of nation. So, it is indispensable and demand of nation that he must take all the responsibility for managing affairs of the nation. The nation desperately needs some young leaders who personify energy, enthusiasm, morality and diligence. The developmental pace will be completely different when young torchbearers will lead from the front.”
He said that while people need the experience and wisdom of seasoned politicians who are now in their twilight years, the exuberance of the youth, their lateral thinking to get things done will offer a whole new perspective to the many problems that the nation faces today.
“Unless the youth jump into the dirt of politics and manage to stay clean, how is the system ever going to change? Lone asked. He asserted that we need to develop a critical mass of young, honest and successful politicians so that they can become a motivational role model for others to follow.”
Addressing the rally Mohammad Iqbal Lone said,” I decided to join Politics and committed to make a change. I want to carve space for youngsters in order to form a vibrant, inclusive politics across J&K. I do not want to regret at the latter part of my life, seeing my nation at peril, just because people of my generation have not done enough and have chosen to stay away rather than being a part of decision making.”
