Chalana (Nagrota)/Jammu, December 06 (Scoop News) –Minister of State for R&B, Javed Ahmed Dar said that power politics has been PDP’s trait since its inception and is least concerned with the welfare of the people of the state and has no political ideology.
Javed Dar who was accompanied with the Political Advisor to the Chief Minister Devender Singh Rana was speaking to a gathering after inspecting the preparatory work and soil testing of the 170 meter, pre-stressed concrete bridge at Sanger over river Tawi in village Chalana of Dansal Block here today, for which the foundation stone will be laid by the Chief Minister in the near future.
Cautioning the people about the nefarious designs of the PDP, which he said are aimed at dividing people for their vested interests. He said that it (PDP) has survived on deceit and falsehood so far and now the party is fully exposed before the society. All and one have observed its double standards and double speak to gain power for personal ends, said Dar.
Dar said PDP is frustrated on seeing the path breaking initiatives taken by the Omar led government and remarkable achievements registered during the last three years on both political and development fronts which has changed the discourse in the state.
He said that the commitments made to the people are being fulfilled fully and equitable development of all regions and sub regions has created a new benchmark in the governance.
Speaking on the occasion Political Advisor the Chief Minister Devender Singh Rana said National Conference has always stood for the principled politics for the welfare and good of the people of Jammu & Kashmir and shall continue to strive to uphold the rich traditions set by the stalwarts who founded the National Conference. He said the party (National Conference) and its cadres will politically fight the gimmickry of the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed , Mehbooba Mufti and their cohorts who are indulging in malicious, dubious, divisive politics and defeat them in their design in the interest of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
Rana said that the holistic progress of backward areas looms large on the development policy of the coalition government adding that Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah is keen to ensure equitable development of all areas. He said that linking up of far-flung, remote and unconnected areas by new roads and bridges has been flagged as one of most important priorities in policy planning of the State and during the last three years of Omar led government path breaking initiatives have been taken to empower the common man.
“Construction of this bridge would benefit a large chunk of population and generate economic activities”, Rana said adding that this was a long cherished demand of the people of the area and last year the people of the area brought this demand into the notice of the Chief Minister during his visit to the area and the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah fulfilled it and will soon lay the foundation stone himself in the near future.
The Sanger Bridge is a 170 meter span bridge which will be completed at a total cost of Rs. 17.68 crore including the construction of link road from Sanger Railway Station to Domail-Jandrah road and will connect areas of Chalana, Sangad, Blad, Pounthal, Barga, Surinsar, Sagoon, Chilla, Jandrah, Nagola, Kanyala, Chad, Jhakeri, Ponali, Korga, Pathyari, with Block headquarter Dansal.
“We have no words to thank the Chief Minister with whose personal intervention and interest this prestigious project has started”, the people told on the occasion expressing their gratitude to the Chief Minister.
Commissioner Secretary R&B K.B. Aggarwal, Chief Engineer, PWD Tehsin Mustafa, Superintendent Engineer PWD Bhushan Gupta, Executive Engineer PWD Nasir Goni and other officers of the Department also accompanied the Minister.
